I was born in the southern part of Italy in a town called Marano Principato. We moved to the states (USA) when I was 5. So far the two places I call home are Kenohsa, WI where I spent most of my life and Buford, GA where I currently reside along with my husband and two daughters. I am a self-taught artist that until recently hadn't even touched a paint brush but somehow knew I could paint. Creative Expression I feel, is essential to who we are. My desire in creating Expressology is all about self-expression. I feel that too often society plays a role in creating our belief system. Expressing ourselves creatively allows our soul to breathe, it sets us fee from the limiting forces around us. I believe we all have something to offer this universe. And the way to find out what that is -- is to first find out what we love.
My abstract art is my way of expressing myself and how I see art. Being drawn to abstract art is my of communicate with society.
Expressology is about self-expression through art by using color form and words. It is also about creating and environment that promotes well-being by surrounding ourselves with what we love. We need art to stimulates our senses. It should fill our homes with energy and excitement. It should express our deepest inner feelings. Self-expression through art is like a doorway to the soul, it lets s see a life beyond our every day and takes us on a journey of self-discovery.
I use quality acrylic paints on both 1 1/2 in. Gallery style and 3/4 in. smooth edged canvas. Some of my earlier works were painted on staple edged canvas that might require framing.
